As per the given scenario, Posting Date of voucher should be 31/08/2014, and Transaction Date should be 7/09/2014. So Posting Date will be when this entry was actually executed, hence we have Posting Date column in the GL report.
Yes, the posting date is the data entry date but we Use the reference date as the transaction date.For example We might post on Sept 7th a Bank Charge that was charged on 31/08/2014. If we go by the posting date then it is September Accounts when really it is in the August. So when we do Query on GL Report would like to see all transaction for August by showing Reference Dates not Posting Date. Is this possible without doing custom Query Report?
