Trying to Customize Customer DocType to add Products/Item list

Dear All,

Firstly I wanted to understand is this feasible, since my sales team needed to see the products/items bought by customers, when they open customer record.

I tried modifying the customer doctype and tried to link the Item List document. But its not fetching the Items data.

I needed to understand a proper flow to do this, please help me on this. I researched a lot but didn’t find any info support and tutorials site…



Has Sales Order Analysis been considered for getting that information? It may be easier to implement , although not sure how to link it to the Customer doctype Connections section.

Not really, we haven’t yet started the data import for sales order. We are implementing a new brand new system, so currently focus is on the master data. But this was one of the requirement when we consulted with Sales team.
