I have some questions regarding the ERPNext e-invoicing compliance in UAE.

  • Will there be an official UAE e-invoicing support in ERPNext?

  • Will it be in the core ERPNext like erpnext_uae or a separate regional app?

  • Which ASP integrations are UAE implementers currently testing?

  • Are there UAE implementers interested in collaborating on a common open-source ASP-neutral implementation?

Also,

  • Is Frappe considering applying for the FTA Tax Accounting Software Register?

  • Has any UAE ERPNext partner already obtained or started TASR accreditation for an ERPNext-based product?

To all ERPNext partners in the UAE :united_arab_emirates:,

We’ve released Version 3.1 of our UAE E-Invoicing app, designed to make it much easier to support and integrate with different ASPs (Accredited Service Providers).

There are currently 23 ASPs, with more being added. Instead of making every new integration a major development effort, we’ve redesigned the app so that any ERPNext partner can add support for a new ASP with minimal coding.

We have already added Flick and Marmin, and we’re currently working on Suntech and a few others.

We’ll publish the developer documentation next week, making it easier for partners to understand the architecture and contribute their own ASP integrations.

If you want to add support for a specific ASP, please coordinate with Husna M and the team.

And most importantly:

This app will remain 100% open source. Now available on FrappeCloud. Github and FrappeCloud links in the comment.

GCC E-Invoicing Updates from ERPGulf

We’ve been receiving quite a few inquiries from our partners regarding the rollout of e-invoicing across the region. Here is a quick status check and our roadmap:

Qatar: Follows the Saudi path with direct submission models to the tax authority.

Oman: Follows the UAE/Peppol path, utilizing the 5-corner model and submission through Accredited Service Providers (ASPs).

Bahrain & Kuwait: No official mandates or formal documents published yet (as far as we know).

What ERPGulf is doing next:

Saudi Arabia: Our open-source source code is already live and running smoothly.

Qatar: We will soon publish the source code for Qatar to support the community.

UAE & Oman: Our ASP-agnostic source code is already published for the UAE, and with minor adjustments, we will release the Oman version soon.

Bahrain & Kuwait: As soon as official information drops, our team will start building solutions.
