Unable to use Income Tax abbreviation in formula of another Salary Component

I am doing a small demo on Payroll. I have three salary components:

  1. Basic
  2. Income Tax (Abbreviation - IT)
  3. Education Cess

In Education Cess, I am entering the formula as (0.02*IT) but it results in 0 always even though the IT value is 2000. What could I be doing wrong?

you Can directly use income tax slab Option where you can directly give cess or Surcharge. No need to add formula in income tax component
