Update to 13.10 failed now site is not accessible

Hi all

I did a minor update to 13.10 The update fails and I now have a message “Your system is being updated. Please refresh again after a few moments.”
Changing maintenance mode in settings to 0 doesn’t work.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I think it has to do with the “feat(regional): South Africa VAT Audit Report” being added in this release.

Was this the first attempt at updating ERPNext or has it been successfully updated before? What was the command that was used to update? Does bench update --reset complete?

Hi

It has been updated many times without any issues before. I just run bench update and off it goes. bench update --reset also fails to complete.

Try this

(replace site name with your site’s name)

$ bench --site sitename reload-doc regional doctype south_africa_vat_settings
$ bench --site sitename reload-doc accounts doctype south_africa_vat_account

Then reattempt updating. Fix for this will be released soon.

Problem solved. Seems I needed to use @ankush syntax with @EugeneP commands. Weird, but all good now.

bench --force --site sitename reload-doc regional doctype south_africa_vat_settings
bench --force --site sitename reload-doc accounts doctype south_africa_vat_account
bench migrate --skip-failing 
bench update --reset
