Web shop / product catalog

Has the Webshop/Shopping cart feature been added to the non-upgraded accounts yet? If not, is that the plan? No rush, just curious what the plan is.

The webshop/shopping cart feature works on Webnotes hosted accounts that are using the new UI (circa August UI), if that's what you mean.

Hi,

1) Love the software and your great efforts!

3) Side note: I have voted on Bitnami for ERPNext, but why don't you list it on www.turnkeylinux.org as well?

Thanks,

Aditya,

Having more than 100 items in a group defeats the purpose for a listing. Its best to break up into smaller groups.

Regarding the list - this can be made as a custom page (we have not come to those yet!) but if the images are too small then they will defeat the purpose too....

best,
Rushabh

Hi Anand,

I might be digressing from the initial post but thought it would be prudent not to make another post for a question concerning the catalog online.

I would like to know if it would be possible to show items on website through a Custom Query Report. Like I have a page for item group but the item listing on the website for items mentioned in the item group is not what I want but I would like to show it in a tabular form which we can easily get through a custom query report or script report would it be possible to show items in a tabular format with custom fields so that we could get the appearance as per our requirement.

I would like the current listing of items to be as per the below format:

Item Group Page (Currently) shows the items with picture place holder and that is also limited to only top 100 items or so and only shows the item code/ item name which is really not what is wanted and is hampering us from moving our website to erpnext currently.

Expected, with tabular format with no limit on the items to be displayed. I think the below mentioned thing can be achieved by a custom script report if that is allowed on website since that might induce some security concerns.

Hi Laurence,

Please raise an issue on github. We will need to ignore Warehouse User restrictions for webshop.

Thanks,
Anand.

Testing the shopping cart functionality. Tried buying as a real customer. Steps:

1. Added item to cart
2. Went to cart and Placed Order
3. Asked me to sign up, so I did with a different email address
4. Created address, so I did
5. Placed order - came up with an error about not being able to create a customer due to a blank field. Realize it was a custom field that was set as required, so went and added a default value in the form's field values
6. Redid step 5, and got this error:

Account Head: Test Buyer created
Not allowed entry in Warehouse: XYZ

XYZ is the label of our default warehouse. XYZ currently has restricted access (as with all our warehouses) by user.  We cannot remove restrictions to XYZ. Is there a possible workaround here?

Thanks.
