What does frappe.route_options do?

Hi

I came across frappe.route_options many places in ERPNext’s source code. I was wondering how does one use it? The value is set before redirect, the redirect happens on button press, and I’m assuming one could use the value passed in route_options. Just wanted to know how to access this value ?
