What role or module should I allow for a user to be able to import data?

We have created a user with limited permissions and they have access to settings but not the data import tool currently

Okay it seems making someone a system manager does it. But can I not do it for non-system managers?

So I had to:

  • Log in as an admin
  • Go to role permissions manager
  • Select Data Import
  • Select my role
  • Add a new rule for my role
  • Check the relevant permissions
  • Add import permissions to the doctypes I want to use the import with
