Exploring implementation of frappeCRM in an organisation whose primary customer contact is through whatsapp, not email (like most SMB’s in india). However I don’t see activity log being updated on whatsapp messages.
Is there a way to add it without customization?

And in pure frappe style customisability, maybe an option to select what doctype is visible in the top bar and in activity?
I’m looking for the same thing. Most customer communication happens on WhatsApp, so having those messages show up in the activity log would be useful. Curious if there’s a native way to do this without custom work.
For me WhatsApp is the least used communication channel. If developed an API integration with Beeper for inbound and outbound that would cover all from one integration:

I don’t think this is the direction we want to go for. Firstly beeper itself as a integration is very hard to provide as according to this, it only acts as local API. Also adding support for all the chat applications doesn’t make a lot of sense in CRM implementation as well
I disagree. Chat applications are an inbound sales channel that are also used by many other successful CRMs, hence why there is an ask WhatsApp. However WhatsApp is more B2C focused and not B2B, which is why others are need like LinkedIN etc.
There is a cloud version of Beeper that is not reliant on the Desktop App, the only reason I suggested Beeper was to make it easier and faster to add the capability. Unless Dev want to create code for each of the sources directly.
Maybe we can add some chat integrations, especially LinkedIn which has been bought up many times. Beeper is not the right way to go for this although, even with the cloud version. Nonetheless I will still test out beeper for this.
