When will ERPNext Production Image be updated to V12?

Hello all.

We are trying to evaluate ERPNext, but found that the Production image is actually that of V11, not the latest - V12. Can anyone advise when the newer image will be available? OR, how to upgrade the image from V11 to V12?

Thanks,
Tim

Hello.
Where did you get this information from? V12 is used by so many in production. Idk what you mean by this.
Describe in detail for us to understand your query.

If I go to help → About it says:
Installed Apps

ERPNext: v11.1.38 (master)

Frappe Framework: v11.1.35 (master)

Got this from your download image page. Also the new import tools are not available, the docs do not match the screens either “Home > Getting Started > Chart of Accounts Importer”

Thanks,
Tim

You can update to v12 but are you on self hosted or subscription?

Currently it is am image that I downloaded - the current production version, which it appears is incorrect. For eval, we first tried to self host, but it failed during install. So then we went to the Virtualbox image on your website, thinking it would be the latest.

To answer your question directly, we are on the virtualbox image.

BTW - I really wish you had the small group offering in the hosted version. There is only 2 of us in the company so having a 5 user license does not help much… just a thought.

Much appreciate the help from the forum!

Thanks,
Tim

Oh. Thanks for the explanation. Now I understand clearly.
Well I am just a community user and not from the ERPNext core team.

Have you tried the easy install script? If you follow the command correctly it should install fine.

This is the link to easy script. Get a vm of ubuntu 18.04 and try to follow the commands one by only. If you get stuck anywhere feel free to share the error log and someone from the community might be able to help you with it.

I tried it on an existing Mint 18 platform, it failed near the end. Will probably try again, but thought for eval it might be easier to test using the image.

Tim

I don’t think the easy script supports Mint. Please check th supported platform in the link posted in the above post.
