I have a production plan (linked to a sales order) created for an item (FRAME) that has two sub-assemblies. When I create the work orders from the production plan, there are 3 work orders that are created automatically: main item work order, and 2 work orders for the 2 sub assemblies.
However, only the work order of the FRAME item has the sapales order automatically filled. The two sub assemblies do not have the sales order automatically filled. Anyone knows why this is happening? Thanks
The parent finished good Frame is supposed to be booked on sales order and based on sales order you have triggered production plan where there are two child finished goods involved as sub assemblies leading you toward multi BOM production environment.
The customer has been booked only with parent finished good and does not require what other elements need to be established as those are inhouse factors for you to work with and furnish him his desired booked finished goods on time. This is why sub assembles are attached to work order but not to sales order.
I need the sub assemblies / child finished goods to be linked to the sales order so i can track which sales order’s work orders are complete and which are not yet complete. How can i achieve this then?
