Been looking into the Workflow feature and need to apply to the Purchase Order doctype, which is stright forward.
But maybe it’s just me, but is the Workflow feature lacking support for adding comments to a document as it moves through the workflow states? i.e. if you “reject” approval of a document i am assuming there is no where to add a reason for rejection and you need to add client script to manage capture of the reason and store it against the current document - maybe under the document activity
any thoughts on where to add rejection reason without customisition existing doctype?
@Never_You_Mind Please check workflow doctype and add your condition for your rejection field if not enter rejection details then not workflow state is not update for rejected
thanks, my question was related to how best to manage “rejection comments” for existing docTypes i.e. Purchase Order, if i define a workflow for Purchase Order which allows the Purchase Order to be rejected where best to caputre the reason for rejection - only option i can see is to customise Purchase Order to add a reject_comment field and populate this via client-script upon rejection.
Would have thought EPRNext workflow would of thank care of this but just wanted to check first.
