Display User Name - Not Email - in Link Field?

Hello,

Is there a way to display the actual name of a User, not their email address, when using a link field to the User DocType?

The User DocType is a Core DocType, so cannot be modified and I cannot see any option to change this.

That for, please go to the Property Setter and set it.

Thanks @NCP, it’s doing something but not quite what you have shown.

The Property didn’t exist so I created it.

Once active it changed the Link field to show only the User’s name when clicking on the Link field (Not Email address and User’s name as previosly).

Then once the User’s name is selected it instead displays the email address.

This is to a custom field in the Purchase Order DocType. Is there another setting I’ve missed or needs to be applied?

@NCP all seems to be working as expected now after an update. Maybe a cache thing.

with property setter doctype
can i set different title field for different doctype ?

in Lead i want email id field for User link field
in Custom doctype i need user name

is this possible ?
