Error installing vim

I am trying to install VIM to enable developer_mode but when i do it i get this error.

can advise how to work around this?

hi. thanks again for your reply.
i figured i wasnt in the root i think thats why i didnt have the permission
and also i forgot the root password of that container.

did a change on the root password using

docker exec -itu root {containerName} passwd

and then opened the container, su root and entered the new password i created

and ran the apt-get update.

problem fixed.

Also, bench is not installed in production containers.
