How to Export Fixtures on Just One App?

bench --site erpnext export-fixtures
Export-fixtures processes all apps and exports fixtures for all of them.
It would be normal for a developer to only want to process his current app and export fixtures for just that one app. This is a glaring design flaw and needs to be fixed unless someone can give a good reason for why it has to work this way???

The issue was already brought up here, and the original poster was practically ignored as if his question wasn’t relevant. Only work-arounds were offered:
