Where can I find a full documentation for Reports?

I’m trying to customize the report pages for my project. For simple reports, the documentation here Reports works fine. However, when I want to customize the report more specifically, like adding filters, or adding a chart to that report, something like the image below, the official documentation doesn’t seem to be very helpful. I tried to google this but I can’t find any resources.

I have to read the report’s python code and guess what the code does. So is there better, more thorough documentation on this subject?
